Mechanical chucks

In mechanical clamping devices, the clamping forces are applied via threads, toggle levers or a clamping eccentric. The advantage is their enormous clamping power and self-limiting clamping.

In mechanical clamping devices, the work piece is either fitted manually or via a steering lever or thread. They are mainly employed if pneumatic or hydraulic means are not practicable for reasons of space, or if the the clamping tool needs to be changed frequently.
