Facing slides, double slides, rotating facing heads

Rotating facing heads are used for surfacing, recessing and shaft facing at medium to high revolutions. Machining ranges from preparatory work to the final finishing of complex contours. Rotary transfer machines, machining centres, transfer lines and special machines are fitted with rotating facing heads.

The parallel arrangement of the two opposing slides results in suitable centrifugal force conditions. The stroke is generated via a wedge gear, the facing stroke is limited by adjustable or fixed stops.

All parts are manufactured from nitrided steel. The high surface hardness makes them extremely wear-resistant, at the same time offering good sliding properties.
